Italian Wags target Becks

While the big-money tug of love between AC Milan and LA Galaxy has been rumbling on, it seems there’s another competition going on for David Beckham’s, ahem, ball skills. Some of Milan’s top wannabe Wags are targeting the former England captain for seduction – with a bet of £20,000 riding on who can get their claws into him first.
A shocked onlooker has told Grazia how a gang of groupies hangs around the bars and nightclubs where Milan’s players have their fun. “They have decided that the top prize is now David Beckham,” the source revealed. “Most of the girls have slept with several AC Milan players, but no longer see them as a big deal. They’re mad about David, though.”
Becks has caused a bit of a stir on the Italian social scene since he arrived on loan from Galaxy. Last week he was the centre of attention at a gala dinner in aid of cancer research. The poor fella could hardly nibble his bread roll for a procession of glossy beauties coming to his table and flirting with him.
Presumably his wife Victoria will be less than thrilled by these rumours. She decided to stay in LA while David’s in Italy, so the couple’s three sons wouldn’t face the disruption of moving and changing school. At least David should be out of temptation’s way at the moment: he’s currently holed up with the rest of the England squad ahead of two vital World Cup qualifying matches.
Hilarity ensued yesterday when the squad met some military personnel at their training camp: a Royal Marine who lost his arm in Afghanistan made Becks jump when he let his prosthetic arm come away while shaking the footy star’s hand.
